About College.

Thakur College of Engineering and Technology is an engineering college in Mumbai, India. It is located in Thakur village locality in Kandivali East, a post suburb of Mumbai, founded by the Thakur Education Group in 2001 by V.K. Singh. TCET is accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of the government of Maharashtra, India. This college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded an “A” grade to the college among various engineering colleges. TCET is famous for its infrastructure and possesses advanced facilities like the IITB Remote Center and Cloud Computing Labs. Recently, TCET secured position in top 200 engineering institutes in India with 193rd rank in NIRF India Rankings 2019.

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for First Year admission in BE & B.TECH Courses:-Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates –

1. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State), in the above subjects taken together; and the Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

Or

2. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State);

All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates.-

1. The Candidate should be an Indian National; (ii)Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together; and should obtain non zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET;

1. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State ).

4. Certificate of Indian Nationality of the candidate
5. College Leaving Certificate
6. Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.
7. Domicile Certificate of candidate.(If necessary)
8. Migration Certificate (In case of candidate passing qualifying examination from any other board other than Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education)
9. Affidavit fro Minority status on a 100/-non judicial stamp paper (only for Linguistic Minority candidates)
10. Aadhar Card (Xerox copy)
